I just noticed… I’ve been committing so many errors lately.

…not just in life, but in college algebra. But I love math. Since I was a child, I was really challenged by this subject ' class='wp-smiley' /> IDK, sometimes I’m not in the mood to answer problems, thus committing errors (especially in that calcu. haha! ). Oh well… as long as I love what I’m doing and I have faith in Him, everything’s gonna be alright

But my main concern here is my life. I will just take those errors as lessons that I can use so that I can improve myself. Just like what happened in my panel interview in Heraldo Filipino, the official publication of our university. That interview scared me to death …and there is no doubt that I’ve made a lot of mistakes that time. But because of that scary interview, I realized so many things about myself. Now that I’m on my fifth week in that organization and I’m still adjusting to this new environment. God bless me! haha! I’m also starting to adapt to my new school. It’s fun to have new friends!

OT: I changed my theme. But it’s a bit childish. I hate it I’ll just make another if I have time. bloghopping time, sweeties!! xoxo

Independence Day

MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!!!

~~Those were words uttered by our great, great, great ancestors.~~ Scratch that! Dahil Pilipino ako, it’s time for me para magtagalog.

Ngayong araw ang ika-112 anniversary ng Independence ng Pilipinas. Ngayon din ang huling celebration na dadaluhan ni PGMA as President kasi nga nanalo na si President-ellect Noynoy Aquino. Last night, when I was watching news, nakakainis kasi sa celebration daw ng Independence Day, ibibida ang mga nagawa ni PGMA through those floats na pinagkagastusan ng Government. Imagine, almost 7-8 M ang ginastos nila, na ang kadalasang budget ay 5 M lang. Sabi nila, galing daw ang pera sa mga ahensya ng Gobyerno. Sabi ko, Eh bakit ba, kaban pa din ng bayan ‘yan tapos winawaldas niyo para ipakita ang mga nagawa ni GMA? ang ice-celebrate ay ang INDEPENDENCE DAY hindi ang pagpupugay sa OUTGOING PRESIDENT! Gimme a break!!! Sorry for ranting about this. ‘Yun kasi ang nararamdaman ko.

Pero, hindi talaga ‘yun ang topic. It’s about the Independence Day. I’m sorry kung magiging boring for you ang post ko today, pero for me, hindi boring ang History.

June 12, 1898. That marked the independence of our country. Even though some people, including Apolinario Mabini, were against the proclamation, naglakas loob pa din si Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo na iwagayway ‘yung flag. Pero, come to think of it, hindi pa din ‘independent’ ‘yung country natin. Naging totally ‘independent’ lang Siya nung July 4, 1946, that is from the Americans.

Parang ang sarap balikan ng nakaraan. If you’ll ask me, gusto ko ring mabuhay sa panahon nila… sa panahon ng mga Bayani… nila Emilio Aguinaldo, Andres Bonifacio… lalo na si Jose Rizal, kasi pinag-aralan ko ang buhay niya nung lumalaban pa ako sa quiz bee. Gusto ko makita ‘yung tunay na sitwasyon right before my eyes. Kahit na parang napaka-madugo nung mga nangyari noon, makulay din naman ang kasaysayan ng Pilipinas. :cute:

Sorry if you think that my post is so lame. Pero yang mga ‘yan ay with feelings!!! Isa pa, Caviteño kasi ako eh

The Biscuit Story

How was everyone?! Just a little update! Why entitled The Biscuit? read on!

I was blabbing about INTRO 01 in the past few days in my twitter account. INTRO 01 is a short term for Introduction to De La Salle where you’ll be informed many things about the campus. Today, the second and last day of the Intro was finished. Even though Intro has no units, meaning that it is not included in the grading system, this is a must to all the students, especially the FROSH (Freshmen).

Okay, now that I’ve told you what INTRO 01 is, I’ll tell you what happened during the two-day event. Of course, new semester, new classmates, and new friends. I’m so happy that my mates are friendly and fun-to-be-with. But what bothered me was… there are more boys than girls. I’m not used to this because ever since, girls dominate our four-walled classroom when it comes to population. But now… *sigh. But who cares… the more, the merrier!

This day, we watched SIGNOS which is an excellent eye-opener for all of us. Global warming and climate change is not just a phenomenon to be aware of, we should take a step forward and make actions to fight for our Mother Earth. Well, that’s what I’ve felt. Then we just reviewed all the rules and regulations in the school. We even demonstrated some ways for self defense for our own safety! Cool! Then we viewed a slide show that really caught my attention. This presentation was entitled The Biscuit Story. I don’t want to blab much that’s why I’ll show you the slide show now! Enjoy!!~

So how was it? I like it very much! how about you?

A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport. As she had to wait for hours, she decided to buy a book and to spend her time. She bought a packet of cookies too. She sat down on an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace. Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies were kept, a man sat down, opened his magazine and started reading. When she ate the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt infuriated but didn’t say anything. She just thought: “What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch his eye so that he does not forget this daring!” To each cookie she ate, the man ate another. That was letting her fume up with rage but she couldn’t react. When only one cookie remained, she thought: “ah… What will this abused man do now?” Then, the man, divided the last cookie through the middle, giving her the other half. Ah! That was too much! She was too angry! Then, she caught her book, caught her things and headed to the boarding place. When she sat down on her seat inside the plane, she looked into her purse to take her eyeglasses and, for her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, closed! She felt so ashamed! She realized that she was the wrong one… She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse. The man divided his cookies with her, without feeling infuriated, nervous or mad… while she was very mad, thinking that he was dividing her cookies. And there was no time to explain her self… Nor to apologize!

There are 4things that you can’t recover…

the stone, after the shot…
the word, after pronounced…
the occasion, after lost…
the time, after gone!

Age doesn’t matter. Especially when watching Up…

Seriously peeps, this movie was released last year and here I am, blogging about it. T’was my first time to watch Up (don’t laugh at me). I’ve got a chance to watch it in Disney Channel last Friday. I’m really looking forward to it ever since DC aired the commercial.

Even though I know that Up is a movie for children, I still watched it. Russell is the cutest and most adorable thing ever! I LOLed at his first appearance in the movie as a Wilderness Explorer, greeting the old man Carl. I was also amazed by how they told the story of Ellie and Carl from the first time they met until the death of Ellie. Their story was very sweet but heart-breaking in the end because she died. But that was just the beginning of Carl’s journey with Russell.

For me, this movie was so amazing and is not for children only. I wish I can make our house float like what Carl did. Even though I know that storm and other troubles can occur, I still love to seek for adventure!!

I’m such a noob!! :mad:
You see, I am really a no-good in CSS coding. There’s a lot of ideas in my head but those are just in vain because I lack knowledge. But I know that there’s always a room for improvement that’s why I’m always experimenting with everything. :cute: Just like that Navigation thing in the right. That’s a jquery and me is so happy that I finally made it work in WordPress!
So, what’s my problem? see that image above? the sidebar is not in it’s rightful place. The content and the sidebar is in a container (that’s the pink fading box over there). Then I used float:left; for the content and float:right; for the sidebar but the result is not what I expected. They just don’t go with the container‘s flow! :cry: So, I only used float:right; for the sidebar and that’s the result. The sidebar is, yes, floating to the right, but it’s not included in the container. If I’ll use float:left; for the content (exclude the float:right; of the sidebar), it will also not go with the flow of the container. Did you get me? I wish you can help me with my problem.
Have you noticed my new layout design? It’s very simple and the main theme of this design is obviously, rainbow at night. It has a fantasy effect. I resolved the previous problem of my theme, which is the screen resolution problem. Now, this theme can be viewed no matter how wide your monitor is. I also added that navigation in the right. So, what can you say about this? Please tell me and be honest.

I am very open for a link exchange. Please don’t hesitate to tell me using the tagboard. If you already linked me, I will link you too.

Blogging is sweeter the nth time around!

Oh, well. I can’t believe myself! When I’m in the mood to blog, something or someone is stopping me from doing my plans. I admit that I’m an inconsistent blogger, but seriously, blogging is the reason why I studied CSS and HTML. It is also the reason why I became a computer-oriented person. Leading me to a computer-related course. Yeah, right.

What really happened to this blog, anyway? I re-installed WordPress. I don’t know what have gotten into me. Maybe, I’m a little desperate to make my own theme that’s why. Every thing from my previous blog, which is also this blog, were deleted. And then, I re-installed WordPress. I’m determined to make my own codes and so I studied CSS once again. Fortunately, I’ve made a layout through CSS and HTML. I used jquery in there. It worked well but converting it to a wp theme is a thing that I really don’t know how to do. So, Sis Deanne converted it for me. But when I installed it in wp, the jquery just won’t work! :mad: Jquery sure is hard, especially for a beginner like me. :cry: I decided to make another one, with a LavaLamp navigation this time. Everything went well at the beginning but when I installed it again in wp, oohh…. luck is not with me. :( I’ve decided that in the near future, I will definitely study that Jquery!!! :evil: I ended up with this theme, without the LavaLamp. Oh, well. I wish you understood my story.

What else happened this past few months? Well, I can summarize everything!

I already graduated! yeah, I’m very happy! I know that my parents were proud of me. At least, I graduated With Honors. I will really miss everything from my high school life. It is the best chapter in everyone’s life. Do you agree?

I have a new notebook! I know, notebooks are much cheaper than laptop. But at least, I have something to use when college starts. It’s a Toshiba NB200. Not that expensive, huh? But for me, It’s very useful! :cute:

I’m enrolled! …to DLSU-Dasmarinas. I think BS Information Technology is the best choice. I’m nervous and at the same time, excited about it. Any advice before the class start?
